Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name, case number, or other term entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside company that supplies the tool. That company processes the request and supplies its results. Las Animas County Court Docket does not retain or record those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other message sent directly to us may be kept long enough to answer and maintain the exchange. It is not disclosed beyond our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, servers may automatically record basic technical and usage information, including:
- The device's internet protocol address
- Browser name and version
- Operating system and general device category
- Visited pages and the time spent viewing them
- A referring website, when one is reported
- The date and time associated with each request
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They and analytics services help measure aggregate use, such as popular pages and points where visits end. Browser controls can refuse or remove cookies. Blocking them may change how some site functions behave.
What We Do With This Data
- Operating, maintaining, and improving page performance
- Routing a submitted search to the provider that handles it
- Measuring which resources visitors use and where revisions may help
- Diagnosing errors, abuse, and other technical problems
- Delivering advertising that may reflect a visitor's interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Las Animas County Court Docket does not host, build, maintain, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case files. Its reference material identifies record custodians and the Las Animas County Combined Court request channels. Access to Colorado court case records is governed chiefly by Chief Justice Directive 05-01, while Public Access Rule 2 addresses Judicial Branch administrative records. The site does not compile visitor information into reports about other people and is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Independent companies supply the search tools displayed on some pages. Information submitted to a tool is governed by that provider's privacy notice, retention choices, and disclosure practices rather than this policy. Review the provider's terms before entering a query because those practices are outside our control.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Colorado Judicial Branch pages, clerk resources, court portals, legal-aid organizations, or commercial search services. Once a visitor follows an outbound link, the destination's privacy policy applies. Check that policy before providing personal information.
Advertising companies may use their own technology to recognize activity across different sites and select targeted advertisements. That processing occurs through the advertising provider's systems.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal information is not sold. It may be disclosed or transmitted to the following limited recipients:
- A search provider when a visitor chooses to use its tool
- Analytics vendors that measure traffic and site function
- Advertising networks that deliver ads
- A government body or law-enforcement agency acting under a valid legal requirement
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, commonly used safeguards are applied to information under our control. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure, however, so protection against every breach or unauthorized access cannot be guaranteed.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults, and personal information from a person under 18 is not knowingly collected. If such information is discovered, it will be deleted after notice and verification.
Your Data Rights
Depending on residence and the way information is processed, privacy laws may grant additional rights. The Colorado Privacy Act, C.R.S. ยงยง 6-1-1301 through 6-1-1313, is among the laws that may apply. Available requests can include:
- Accessing personal information maintained about you
- Correcting inaccurate personal information
- Seeking deletion of covered information
- Opting out of processing where the governing law provides that choice
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as practices or legal requirements change. A replacement version becomes available on this page and carries an updated effective date, so visitors should review it periodically.
Effective date: August 16, 2026
